 Working Permit

Qualifications

Students who hold a Visa for studying Chinese purpose and have studied at our center for at least 6 months with 15 hours of classes per week.

※Our center does not provide work permit application methods for other types of visas; please refer to the visa regulations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Required Documents

1. Proof of enrollment and attendance record issued by our center

2. Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) (the work permit application period must be within the valid period of the ARC)

3. Transcript for at least 6 months of Chinese classes at our center. Transfer students who have studied for less than one year must also provide a transcript from their previous school.

4. Copy of a valid passport

5. Other relevant supporting documents (at least one of the following must be provided):

 

• Specific documents proving inability to financially support studies and living expenses, such as a photo of a bank passbook showing the balance.
 
• Documents proving that the school's teaching and research unit requires assistance from a foreign student for work, such as ELTA certification documents.
 
• Documents proving the need for an off-campus internship related to the courses being taken.
Application Procedure
1. Go to the Online Application System to apply online.

2. Click "Apply for an account"


3. Enter personal information

Identity -> 外國留學生-語言中心
 
4. How to receive the work permit letter:

  • Electronic official document
  • Mail to the school

5. Pay the review fee of NT$100. You can refer to the user manual for payment:
  • Pay at the post office
  • Pay via ATM transfer
  • Taiwan Pay
 
6. Online review by our center

7. Review results:

  • Application approved. The documents will be sent to the Workforce Development Agency of the Ministry of Labor. After the Workforce Development Agency of the Ministry of Labor approves the application, you will receive your work permit according to the method you chose.
  • Application not approved, must submit additional documents. Please provide the required documents as requested.
  • Application not approved, returned. A work permit will not be issued.
Notice
1. Before the work permit expires, you can re-apply online following the same procedure.

2. According to Article 50 of the Employment Service Act, the maximum working hours per week are 20 hours, except during winter and summer vacations.

3. According to the Employment Service Act, all foreign students must apply for a work permit before working in Taiwan.

4. All application information and regulations are subject to the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Labor.
