Chinese Proficiency Award for International Students
1. Guidelines: Scholarship Guidelines (NCHU Chinese Language Center)
2. Eligibility

International students enrolled in at least one Chinese language course at NCHU or in the Intensive Program at the Chinese Language Center between Spring and Fall 2025.

Applicants must obtain a TOCFL certificate at Level B2 or above within 2025.
3. Award Details

Amount: NT$10,000 per recipient.

Quota: Maximum 10 recipients per semester.
4. Application and Review Timeline

Application Period: August 16 to October 20, 2025.

Review Process: The Chinese Language Center will review eligibility and documents. Results will be announced within two weeks after the deadline.

Disbursement: Awards will be processed according to university procedures once approved.

Students who have previously received this scholarship are not eligible to apply again.
5. Application Procedure
Applicants must complete the online application form and upload the following documents:

Transcripts of Chinese language courses at NCHU or the Intensive Program.

TOCFL certificate showing Level B2 or above.
6. Evaluation Criteria

Applicants must hold a valid TOCFL B2 or above certificate obtained in 2025.

If applicants exceed the quota, ranking will be based on TOCFL scores. Additional criteria such as course performance may be considered. Final decisions rest with the review committee.

Incomplete or false submissions will not be accepted; fraudulent submissions will result in cancellation and repayment of the award.
7. Award Disbursement

Time: One-time payment before the end of 2025.

Method: Bank transfer.

Bank transfer fees will be deducted from the award.

Incomplete or incorrect bank information will be regarded as forfeiture.
Recipients must provide valid local (Taiwan) bank account details within the specified time.
